2004 E500 4Matic Transmission reprogramming

I am finishing up replacing the torque converter today and I'm wondering if I need to reprogram anything before we start driving the car. Can anyone provide any insight? Thanks!

yes you do, you need to take the engine control unit out of the vehicle and take it to the dealership. just tell them what you did to the car and they will program it. the engine control unit has 5 connectors and its on the driver side under the hood next to the fuse box.

they should charge you about 50-75 dollars to do this dont pay anymore than that .

good luck
