CEL Error Code: P0025 Cam Shaft Position Sensor
Today I was driving and suddenly the CEL came on and when I got home and check the codes, it reads P0025 Cam Shaft Position Actuator B - Bank 2 Timing Over-Retard. I remember I had that issue less than a year ago, but since I am out of warranty I am stuck. Is this a easy to replace sensor? I remember the dealer told me it would cause my car to stall and this is a very common issue amount the Mercedes. and what part number am I looking at for the V8 E550? barely 5k over warranty and my moon roof already won't close with one touch and engine oil leak and now this.. sigh.. My W211 sure is very high maintenance..

When mine went out on my 05 E500, it left me stalled in traffic in a two lane left turn during rush hour... Not cool... Apparantly these sensors get heat soaked and stop sending the signal to the PCM which then shut the car down until it cools off... After that, it'll start again and run until the next time it fails... It's a very common problem that should be a warranty item that doesn't take long to replace... My car is a CPO with extended warranty and they covered it...

Mercedes
The left bank calls for 1.5hr of labor, while the right bank only calls for 0.7hr.
They are fairly easy to get to, and its good you know which one to replace already.

A few toys & 07' E350 4matic w/AMG sport packg.
Happened to my E about exactly a year ago. Brought it to the dealer and they replaced it under warranty. It didn't leave me stalled, but there was a weird hesitation. Also, I think it's a fairly common problem on these cars.

Ha, after I erased the code and the light came back on and now there is two error codes, seems to me both sensors failed. Any one know where to get the part numbers and locations of those sensors are at?
Edit:
Searching only for the sensors, I cam across to part numbers: W0133-1794315 and W0133-1809758. since I have two failed sensors, do I just buy one of each? The price is quite different though. one of them I think was $65.95 the other was $136.95 (btw those are the price for bosch sensors)
