car is still blowing cold air

So the repair saga continues w/ this E500, and the love-hate relationship is once again being tested. This car just begs me to work on it once every 2 or 3 months.
Yesterday the car was blowing only cold air in all of the vents, and no warm/hot air at any temperature setting. After reading this DIY,
https://mbworld.org/forums/e-class-w...rol-valve.html
I changed this heater control valve this morning. However, the car is still blowing cold air. Could the new part be defective ($60 from a local dealer, a genuine MB part)? Any body got any idea?
BTW, you'll gain a lot of access room to this control valve by removing the whole wiper motor assembly. Only three 13mm nuts are holding the motor assembly and only takes 2 mins to remove it.
The part # is 211-832-0584. I told the dealer to get that part for me and bought it. I called the dealer to look up the latest part number and it is 211-832-0684, but I got the 0584 installed.

Never mind. The heater works now. Previously I let the idle to normal operating temperature but the vents were still blowing cold air. But once I started driving, hot air started to blow. Strange... Maybe some electronics need to be reset w/ the new control valve and with the vehicle moving.
