Oil change between service intervals

Is it ok to use BP Visco 5000 5W-40 (MB 229.3) in a E500 -03?

The car has a full service history but i want an extra oil change between the standard intervals on 25000 km. MB has been using Mobil 1 0W-40 pretty much since the car was new and i guess they will be doing that in the future as well.

Could it be a problem if i pour in another type of oil between the visits to MB?

Is what you're planning on using something approved by the manual?

I´ve searched for the answer and consulted my manual. The manual says i can use oils with 229.1, 229.3 or 229.5 specifications.

The BP oil is 229.3 approved. The Mobil1 used by MB is 229.5.
