V6 3L Diesel Kleemann Kd-Box settings

V6 3L Diesel Kleemann Kd-Box settings

Anyone with a KD-Box on a bluetec? I'm trying to find out which settings have given people either the most power or the best mileage (or both, if possible). Kleemann recommends one of 3 settings depending on the engine type, but i believe there's 14 total on the box. I've posted a similar question on the 164 forum .

E320CDI, CLK55, and a Smart
I4-5-6 cylinder = B
V6 = 5
V8 = 8-9

Thats what the instructions say, but could there be advantages using any of the other settings?

Are those settings for the one channel or two channel box?

None. It is simply a setting that increases duration of fuel injection and 5 is just perfect for the V6; increasing fuel even more requires a larger turbo (more fuel needs more air) your CEL may come on. I've had the KD-Box since I purchased the new car in 2007. The next step for more power or adjustment is an ECU retune; you may then discard the KD-Box. I'm still waiting to retune my spare ECU however in the meantime choice of rims and tires provide additional torque, making the car even meaner.
