The '07 keys are POS's, IMO. I've seen them cracked, faded, looking "greasy", etc.
The '10 keys seem to be refined in a durable and quality sense. I don't expect (at least I hope not) for it to wear out.

My '07 keyfobs have no grease and I generally keep them away from grease.

Keys are Keys, they absolutely take just as much abusive as our chops sticks and forks in our house. they are used each and everyday of the year (for daily drivers), I have seen button cracked on our keys, so I just try to prevent as much as possible by not pushing the buttons with my nails.

I also found the pre-'07 keys to feel more quality than the '07 keys, not to mention, I've seen may '07 keys with the silver star starting to bronze.
