12 v trunk recepticle - goes to main battery or aux. batter?

We all know that the 12v recepticle (cigar lighter) can be used to charge the auxiliary battery (with a trickle or maintenance charger) when the ignition is off, if you move a jumper on a jumper block under the hood. This leaves the main battery out of the charging circuit, however.

My question is, is the trunk 12v recepticle on the same circuit, or (I hope) is this an easy way to connect a second trickle/maintenance charger up to the main trunk battery when the car is in storage?
