Angry New owner- suspension problems - help!

I just bought an 07 E350 wagon, CPO last week. The 2nd day the rear suspension drops and the "stop car, car too low" warning comes on. I had the car towed in to the dealer and during that time the suspension came back up. The dealer ran all kinds of tests and could find nothing wrong. It happened again today while driving and if I stop and wait 20 minutes, restart the car, and the suspension comes back up. I have searched this forum and am familiar with the problems of the self leveling airmatic suspension. What is driving me nuts is the dealer not being able to find the problem. Any suggestions? I am really regretting buying the car at this point.

I know you have probably solved your problem, but I had the same thing happen to me on a 2006 E350 Wagon that I just purchased. It was a local trade at a non-MB dealer, so I bought As Is. Drove home (about 500 miles) no problems, went through car wash, drove to work next day and when I came out, car too low to drive. Creep home and put in heated garage. Talked with my mechanic (nearest dealer 200 miles away) and went to drive car to his shop and car came up. Had him check and he found a corroded wire on the compressor. Cleaned it off and reattached and so far no problems.

This has been really frustrating. I have now been stranded 3 times and had to have the car towed to the dealer. On the 2nd trip they replaced the rear leveling sensor and the suspension went out again within 200 Mi. The next trip in they replaced the compressor and I have now put on 250 mi with no problem. I hope it is fixed. I get the impression they don't know what is wrong and are replacing components 1 by 1 starting with the cheapest.

Unacceptable for an '07. Even though my wife's '05 only has 35k miles on it, we had to have hers replaced already. Definitely, first, and last MB for me. My Lexus is flawless at 45k miles.

I dunno what the problem is.

BUT... I do know that if you keep having the same problem, take the car to the dealership and having them notate in the work order/receipt, the reason for your problem, and you do that 3 times in a row and they still can not correct the problem, you can have the dealer rebuy your car back with the lemon law. It is very important that you keep all service documentation showing the reason for your visit and what they did to correct. It is also very important that each of the service documentation showing the reason for your visit shows the exact same problem.

I had a 2008 CPO E350 that had a overheating problem and got that returned within 2 months of my starting my lemon law claim with my lawyers.

Good luck.

that is only with new cars or states with lemon laws that pertain to used cars... not every state has laws that pertain to used cars.....

Yes, I checked with a law firm that specializes in lemon law. The car needs to be under the original warranty period so my car was too old. I have now put on over 1,000 miles with no problem so I am hoping the new compressor was the answer. I do really like the car but this has been very frustrating.
