Heated Seat Control Flashes

Overnight, I parked my car outside in near zero degree temperatures. THis morning when I started the car and turned on the heated seats, the three lights on the control (both sides) flashed. There were not any messages and the car started fine.

Any ideas?

We have an 03 320 as well. It posted the "consumer electrrical devices" warning that indicates a low state of charge. I activated the seat heaters during that message and got blinking seat heater icons as you have described. I took it as an indication that the battery was not at the threshold voltage needed to operate the second tier electrical accessories. If you are still using the original batteries, it is almost certain they will fail soon. Mine averaged about 84 months. In your climate, it may have been a momentary problem caused by the cold. Hope that helps.

After a short trip, I stopped and restarted the car. Everything seems fine now. I am still on the original batteries and haven't had any messages yet.
