Imagine two 500 motors linked together in series - it would be the E1000.

I've never SEEN a V16... but my dad has... It seems they were kind of tried out in the pre-WWII era and didn't really make it past then... except for the new Bugatti EB16.4.
Actually, my dad didn't see the V-12... it was an INLINE 12... I seem to remember him saying it was a Lancia with a REALLY long skinny hood, but as I searched around for it, I just couldn't find any references to it... It might have been Maserati that did the car he saw...
In any case, Cadi was also fond of the V12's in the olden days... never saw one of those in person.

Its doubtful (read: not going to happen) but you may be seeing a V-16 in the upcoming years. Cadillac debuted its Cadillac Sixteen which is a luxury sedan, aimed at taking on the Maybach and its competitors and features a V-16 engine making ~1000HP, but I doubt it will happen.

Personally i think it's a stupid thing to do only because of what i've heard, which is that it would be too distorted to do anything, or handle well. ANd that cadi 16, that just seems like crap to me, i'd rather have the germans do it. or the japs because that way it would never break down

I can't say for sure, because I've never driven one (or even seen one... or even know if you can get one today...), but I can't imagine the Bugatti 16.4 not "handling well".
Also... I've heard the Cadi's are breathing down Lexus' neck these days... at least that's what JD told me!!!![Wink](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
