Lowering ideas

Hey everyone been looking all around the web site to see some option on lowering my car. I know that ther are a lot of kits out ther to buy. I want to know what is the diffrence between a Lowering Module and lowering links.
I live in chicago i really dont want to go very low. Im getting some 19" wheels and i dont like gap between the tire and fender .. Also ride quality will it change i have a 09 e550 airmatic i love the comfort now. Even in sport 1, 2 it drives good.

Some you guys are running renntech, brabus, Kleemann whice is good and lowering diffrence whice module dosent go very low ....

It will destroy the ride and handling that the German Engineers spent 100's of millions of dollars developing.
At best I would shop around for a wrecked E55 and upgrade to its suspension.

Anything else is a downgrade.

From what I have seen on this forum you can pretty much go as low as you want to with a module.

if you get a module, it will allow you to set the prefered ride height or you can do star also.

I would definitely look into getting an ELM, especially if your vehicle has airmatic. I was also tired of my wheel gap (staggered 19" wheels), and recently ordered a carlsson ELM (it's in the mail). I haven't done any fender work, so I'm not sure how low I'll go.
