Question Active Ventilated Seats

I just tried my AVS on the high cool setting and could hardly feel ANYTHING coming out of the seats. Are they that subtle? Should you be able to feel air coming out?

I don't think you can feel the air moving. It's just drawing in the air from inside the car - it's not using it's own AC vent. I have found that if I'm wearing jeans I don't feel it but with lightweight dress pants I feel it a bit. Not a big difference, just not "stuck" to the leather.

I'm glad you responded. Can you answer a couple of questions? My car is equiped a lot like yours.
1. Does the key dependant memory seats work with keyless go? In other words if you walk up to the car and the seats are not in the position that is programed to the key you have with you will they return to that program when you unlock or start the car?
2. I want to tint my windows but I'm afraid that if I do and I have problems (like I am now "key not recognized") that the dealer will say the tint interferes with the signal.
3. Have you had the "Key not recognized" error message before? What did you/they do.

Thank you very much for your response. I only have 100 miles on my car and I want everything to work right! And just want to know if others have had similar experience.

Here goes -

As for the memory seats - I am the only one that drives the car so I have not had a chance to experiment with that feature. I will give it a try over the next couple of days and let you know.

As for the keyless go msg - I have not recevied that one before. I was told keyless go is getting the signal from the sensor on the door handle. Maybe I'm wrong. My tint has not had any effect on the operation of keyless go. I would have them check it out. I've got 6500 miles so far. One service visit for a battery connector of some sort.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

the active ventilated seats do not move alot of air...they try to remove the humidity from your body and mine do work. i wish my back seats had them as well like the s class.

key dependant, on my car, doesn't work with keyless go as designed. you have to use the key manually. i guess mb don't know what to do if 2 keyless go keys are in the car at the same time.

also, i was told that the keyless go sensors for the outside are on each door handle, truck area and inside... so i don't see why tinted windows would affect the system. however, i don't have after market tint.

i had the key not recognized error all the time until mb replaced the keyless go amp. keyless go is great now.

Tint should have no issue w/ keyless go. The AVS is subtle but works very well for me!
