When I brake I hear a high tinging sound. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced it? I usually hear it when I'm driving slow in the neighborhood.

yup. i have that. we've talked about that in here a bunch of times. it's a high pitched sound whenever you brake. it's very faint but you can hear it if you turn off your a/c, radio, etc. and drink around in a quiet neighborhood.

i took my car in for it and they said it was normal. they said it would go away after awhile but it never did (i'm at 3,000 miles now).

my biggest gripe now is that there's a high whistling sound from the wind when the car is moving pretty fast (like anything more than 40 MPH). it's really annoying because you can hear it pretty easily.

but i am one of those people who prepaid for COMAND so i'll hopefully be getting a replacement car. so i'm not going to take the car into the shop anymore and just hope that the replacement fixes these things.

Well, if it's any comfort, mine is a March build and I have no whistling. Very quiet.
