Many thanks! I have been tinkering with the command head unit and managed to get into the 3*5*7 menu but, no luck finding the w211ece. Not really disappointed because I'm still driving this sweet vehicle. Has anyone done or added any cool and useful bits and pieces in their E500? Pictures will be posted as soon as the weather here in VA calms.

Best regards,
Duc1098

Make sure you go through the vehicle with a fine tooth comb and have the SBC system replaced if not already. Get ready for 70k mile ball joint and motor mount replacement. Keyless go will go out too eventually. The rest is really good though. I have 157K miles on mine.

Did you replace the sparkplug cables @ 100K or just the plugs..?

Can you still get extended warranties with that kind of milage.?

I bought my car with 4 miles on it brand new. Full warranty. Replaced plugs and wires at 100k with the standard 100k mile tune up. There are a few companies that will offer extended warranty. I have chosen to save my own money to pay for any repairs, rather than have a payment of 400 per month for warranty insurance that may or may not cover the repair, tons of administraiton to file a claim, and a general mistrust for extended warranty providers.

Seems a bit high...

My extended warranty comes to about $85.00 per month, or $3050 for 36 months. It already paid for itself with a $4K repair bill at the MB dealer.
