upgrade to 19" rims? questions
I am looking at a potential upgrade on my 2005 e320 cdi to a set of 19" amg rims but am looking to see what tire sizes anyone would recommend in order to maintain the need of not having a change in speedometer reading.
The rims are 19 X 8.5" front 19 X 9.5" rear
from some places I have seen 245/35/19 front and 275/30/19 rear, but am not certain
Any help would be really appreciated

Original tire: 225/55/16
Sidewall: 4.87 in
Radius: 12.87 in
Diameter: 25.74 in
Circumf: 80.88 in
Revs/mile: 783.41
New Tire:275/30/19
Sidewall: 3.25 in
Radius: 12.75 in
Diameter: 25.50 in
Circumf: 80.10 in
Revs/mile: 791.03
Speedometer reading with new tire is 0.96% too fast.
When your speedometer is reading 60mph you are actually traveling 59.42mph.

I really appreciate the heads up on the stats and recommendation. With your current setup using the 235/35/19 F and 265/30/19 R, are you more on point than the setup I was told to try? Thanks in advance. Your ride looks good b

With my setup it is:
Original tire
Sidewall: 4.87 in
Radius: 12.87 in
Diameter: 25.74 in
Circumf: 80.88 in
Revs/mile: 783.41
New Tire
Sidewall: 3.13 in
Radius: 12.63 in
Diameter: 25.26 in
Circumf: 79.36 in
Revs/mile: 798.43
Speedometer reading with new tire is 1.88% too fast.
When your speedometer is reading 60mph you are actually traveling 58.85mph.

I hear you. I had heard from a few service guys the setup I wrote above was/is more of a match than what sizing I had heard and took into see, but wanted to get some real-world feedback. Many thanks-now to find the tires...
Thanks again

I currently have Falkens but will probably move to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus or Pilot Sport PS2

I was looking that pilots, but then was told to check out tirerack and they have some other options, so just weighing in to see if it's worth it or not and save a little and upgrade the headlights to the LED ones and bang a two for one doing that way.
