07 BT Brake upgrade
So the time is soon to come where brake pads and rotors will need replacement on my 07 BT. Curious to know what "modest" brake upgrade paths are open to me, with the considerations of:
- Car has 16" wheels
- While I'm willing to spend a bit more, I'm not interested in $4K five-piston caliper "big brake" kits. Not really interested in accent coloured calipers, etc.
- According to the 2007 E-class brochure for North America, Bluetec models have slightly smaller brake discs than their E350 gasoline powered equivalents (12.3" vs. 13" in front and 11.8" solid vs. 11.8" vented in back). Is this because of the smaller standard wheel sizes? Will 16" rims fit the larger size E350 brake discs?
