Car in shop again.
The dealer has ordered another unit and I get to wait - hopefully just a few days.
The latest in many little glitches. Hope MB sort out the reliability of the electronics!

Last I checked, the lemon laws in California went along the lines of something like:
If you bring the car in for the same problem four times within the year, and they still cannot fix the problem, OR if you bring your car in for various different items for more than 30 days out of the year, you have tripped the lemon law. By law, they have to buy the car back from you (or give you a new replacement car).
Of course it may not necessarily be easy... you may have to get a lawyer and it's a hassle. In retrospect, I should have done it. It's far worse to think, "Just one more problem and it'll be fixed..." and then you end up out of warranty, with a car that continues to have problems, and the time to turn it in has passed, and you have no recourse, and only repair bills in the five-figure range... or the option of just writing off the rest of the car... it's ugly.
My advice: check the laws and use them the second they apply.
Who knows? You might have an experience like the one I heard about with the guy with the 745 Bimmer... It had so many problems that he didn't even have to ask... his dealer told him to return the car and they would give him back his money. They even told him to buy a different car because they had no confidence that a new 745 would be any better... Now that's impressive service. You know what? He'll probably go back to them after they work the problems out.

Meanwhile I drive without airbags. Replacement module tomorrow (after I called MB - at first I was told Friday).

You may want to take advice on this.
I had the SRS unti replaced October (mine is a September build) and have had the warning twice since but it goes away on restarting the car.

I was told NOT to use the car with the SRS warning. The dealer was concerned the airbags could activate themeselves for no reason.

I would have preferred to not drive it, but Meray had no replacement cars available, and MB Canada also did not seem to think it was their problem.
Anyway, the car is now at the dealer's again having the module replaced.

It's been quiet until last week, when it happend 3 times, lasting less than 10 minutes each time. I noticed that the first instance happend immediately after I went over some railroad tracks without slowing down much. (I rarely do this.)
That's a pretty limited sample, but I swear I think it's some type of short somewhere. Hopefully it'll hold out until the replacement vehicle gets here.
