W211 e320 cdi ABS ESP BAS Fault
I have just purchased a 2003 W211 320 CDi
A couple of times the car hase had the ABS ESP & BAS lights come on and for a few seconds the car looses power shows these 3 malfunctions and then carries on as normal.
Once the car had all these faults come up and it died and would not restart. After recovering it back to the garage I bought it from they thought that the fault was with a faulty alternator so replaced it.
I have checked the aux battery & that is OK, the main battery is OK but not fully charged. You can hear the brake pump going whilst driving but as I have not driven many of these models I am not sure if this is normal.
But the fault still persists, I will be taking it back again but has anyone got any idea's on what could be causing this fault.

Aux battery in the engine compartment is there as a backup battery for your SBC brake system. If one disconnects the main battery these errors can happen. You might get this also b/c your battery isn't fully charged? You have a battery sensor attached to your positive lead on your main battery in the trunk and if the battery reaches a certain level the car shuts off electrical systems in 2 steps.
