Subwoofer turns on automatically
Hello everybody, I just got a subwoofer with an amp installed (jl w6 10in & Alpine MRP-M500) in my 2003 e320 because the factory one in the back rattled. So i took the two wire off the stock subwoofer so no power is going to it.
The problem I have now is that when I start the car and when I shut the car down, the jl subwoofer turns on and make a boom boom sound for like 2 secs and then stops. Even if my command stereo is turned off, the subwoofer still make the sound. It also does the same thing when I am driving. The subs turns on regularly after couple of minutes. What is going on here?
This could be related to a problem I had with the stock subwoofer, that when I turned the car off, the subwoofer would rattle for couple of seconds and then stop. It seemed like it was related to the sbs braking system since it rattled when the braking system was making that pumping noise.
