E320 estate 2005 Excess rear tyre wear on inside edge only
E320 2005 estate avantgarde with lowered suspension as spec. 90000m, self levelling suspension.Since purchase from Merc dealer I have had the same problem on rear tyres of excessive wear to the steel core on the inside edge only on the rear tyres.The wear is very specific and is also uneven on the tyre to the extent that about 12inches only of the tyre have split open.
I tow a caravan for about 2000 miles per year.
Mercedes have checked all alignments and camber specs and say it is in spec and towing is ok, but still I have the problem.
I have had 5 rear tyres in just over 2 years.
The rest of the tyre usually has about 6/7 mm by the time it splits
