hey i wanted to know whether or not 2009 e350 comes with brake sensor, to tell you when it is time to replace the brakes?
the reason i am asking, is that i have been heearing this wierd rattling sound coming fron the front of the car at it appears to come only when i travel about 5-10mph.
took it to the dealer and he is telling me the sound is due to the fact that i need to replace my brakes and rotors. the car has only 20,xxx.
have anyone had any issues like this.

It depends how you drive, like stop-and-go or take canyons etc. It's possible that it's time to replace brakes. If you are not sure the dealer tells you the truth, you can make a service appointment with another MB dealership for a second opinion.

All Mercedes since the 1980s (maybe late 70s) have brake pad wear sensor.
There are other reasons for "replacing brakes" besides worn pads and worn pads is seldom a cause of rattling in any event.
20K miles is not an unreasonable mileage to experience worn out brakes.

ok i had my brakes and rotors replaced, and the rattling sound is still there.
took it to the dealer and was told the ratling soound is coming from the main vent rubbing against the firewall, he told me we have reinforced it and no the sound is barely heard.
then he mentioned the purge valve, but said its functioning fine.
when i got the car brand new and upuntil 2 weeks ago never had any sound.
does anyone know what this can be, im just sick and tired of goin to the dealer and hearing bunch of b.s everytime.
