Redline Synthetic ATF for E500

I have a 2003 E500 with a 722.633 5-speed transmission. My independent mechanic did a transmission fluid flush/fill/filter service. He used Redline synthetic ATF fluid, and he does for all the automatics that come through his shop. It shifts perfectly, and the trans seems to respond quicker on downshifts since the service.. Any opinions on redline synthetic ATF for the 722.6 trans?

Yes, it's not approved for your transmission and your mechanic is bad.

For other members’ reference, I’ve had good luck with readily available Shell and Fuchs 236.14-specification ATF in MB’s five- and seven-speed gearboxes.

addendum-

236.14-specification Shell ATF 134 is less than $5 a quart from Ryder Fleet Services.
