AUX-in on COMAND

What is the jack on the back of the COMAND for aux-in audio? It is a 3-pin connector. Does this type of connector have some sort of standard name. I'd like to buy the plug and make an aux-in cable somehow. I only need a short one as I am thinking of putting the 3.5mm jack in the ashtray area under the cd changer.

Thanks,

Hugo

There should already be on installed from the factory in the glove compartment right along the top edge, at least that's how it is on my 2005 E320.

I have the same question, on our older W211's ours didn't come with an Aux port standard, it was an optional extra from the factory. I think you have to get this special adapter from Benz, as its not just some standard cable.

I think I still have some cables somewhere in storage. It takes about 30 minutes to do this.

Early W211s with Audio 50 do not have the cable installed at the factory, because the Audio 50 has no aux input.
