2003 E500 quit running suddenly

2002 G500, 2007 CLS 550, 2018 GLC 300
2003 E500 quit running suddenly
My 2003 E500 suddenly quit running while driving about 45 mph, in light rain. The engine just quit suddenly with no stuttering or hesitation and I had to pull over. It cranks just fine now but will not start. No warning lights, about 1/2 tank of gas. Any thoughts?

How many miles?

The previous owner on my 95kmi e500 replaced this at about 60k....
