Anyone switch from 17" to 18" ?
Anyone switch from 17" to 18" wheels? If so, what do you think of the ride difference in terms of ride comfort and handling? I am assuming the handling would be better but I am concerned about the overall ride of the car after the change. Is it too harse for a sedan? Thanks!

I switched to the 18" AMG E55 wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires. According to the surveys on "The Tire Rack"'s website, this Michlein tire rates better for comfort, wear, noise, dry and wet handling compared to ContiTouringContact CH95 or other ContiSportContact or ContiSport Contact 2 tires.
I just made the switch about a week ago. I have reduced the air in the front to 28 lbs and the rear tires to 32 lbs. The comfort level is way better than at the 34 lbs front & rear when I drove away from the tire store. So far I find the noise and ride comfort to be just fine. The handling is bound to be better, but I have not pushed it.

Still evaluating this, but seems like it might be a slight bit bumpier.
With tires a bit wider and side walls narrower, some compromise in the ride comfort must be inevitable.
