Mods to a "small" M112
Hi all,
As i've iterated before, I have the "small" m112 V6.
Now customs, duties, taxes, etc do not allow me to have a really nice, big, full-fat V8. An E63 costs the equivalent of $375,000 here!
Import duties on an engine are 150% on the new price (approx. $50k?), are actually banned and the DMV will not "legally" allow a swap.
However, I do know someone who is parting out some stuff!
Cams for a SLK 32AMG (Schrick?), injectors from a V8 (430? 500?), headers from the SLK and a big Throttle Body (don't know from which car). And an airbox (again, no idea off of what)
My question, guys, is - would these fit my car?
I believe even though the internals are stronger, etc, the engines are the same(?)
Would it be worth spending money on these bits, to actually see a significant increase from my measly 180hp, because as you can see, I really don't have much of a choice!
I can also get an ecu map which would "release" (LOL) another 12-15 hp..
