Wipers not working - 2003 E500

2003 E500 Mercedes
Wipers not working - 2003 E500
Can't get wipers to turn on in any position. Auto (really don't know because need to sense rain but doesn't even wipe once), slow or fast (nothing) - shouldn't I be able to manually activate at a minimum of pushing the stalk to get an initial cleaning? Anyone experience this?

The stalk switch often acts but it usually works for some wipers settings, at least temporarily. Did yours go all at once? I did not check if there is any fuse assigned for the wipers, you probably did.
