Its exactly the same as for the high beams. The parking light is just below the high beam. You can get your hand in there, twist the bulb and remove it.

Do you notice much difference with the PIAA high beams? Which one's did you go for?

The PIAA advertising claims that its H7's are brighter, but I can't confirm this, although the high beams do seem to be plenty bright. I changed bulbs for two reasons. First, maybe I have just spent too much time reading this forum, but I think the car will look better at night with lights which are more or less the same color. Second, and maybe more rational, I think that the bluish white of the Xenons, and now the other lights, is much better at making pedestrians and other motorists aware of your presence. So even if they do not help you see better, they make you more visible.

I think it looks great! Much better than the 172's that I bought that look blue. I can't get the H11 dealer you used to email me back. Do you know another source?

I purchased a pair of H11 bulbs from http://www.lightingresearch.com/metal_white/h11w-55.htm

The bulbs are METAL WHITE H11 12V 55W (Sold as pairs)

Part#: H11W-55 $45.99

These bulbs match very well with the xenon headlamps and the 19169 running lamps.

The site I ordered from is also very responsive...I ordered the fog lamps last Friday and received them on Monday.

I fitted them this evening and it only took 10 minutes max. See my post above, they are very easy to change, neat design by MB.

VERY Easy to change..... I just did mine. Look under car front, just behing front bumber and there are two "trap" doors (just below each fog light). A qtr twist counter clockwise (clockwise as you look at the bulb from the front) and disconnect the cable... that's it. Don't touch the bulb!!!

Good Luck.... Mark

Thumbs up

As others have mentioned, I also thought the OEM parking light bulbs looked very yellow next to the bi-xenon headlight. I ordered a pair of PIAA 19172 Xtreme White Bulbs from autobarn.com. Unfortunately in my haste to open the package, one of the new bulbs popped out of the packaging and dropped somewhere into the engine compartment never to be seen again. Anyway I proceeded to replace the passenger side parking bulb (fyi, the passenger side light is harder to reach than the driver's side, and it is nearly impossible to keep the bulb from touching something when reinserting).

Contrary to what others have said in previous posts, the PIAA Xtreme White Bulb is not too blue. It definitely has no yellow color in it at all. IMHO the SLIGHT blue tint complements the xenon light nicely. I'm going to order another set so that I can change the other side. In the meantime, I'll have to suffer and drive around with one yellow light.

OK, after all of this noise, which is the recommended best bulb for the two inside front lights and the fogs? I think the fogs are a given- H11 W-55

Help.

Thanks

The majority of people here, including myself found the PIAA 19172 too blue so went for the 19169 and are very happy with them. Wem is the first person I've seen say the 19172 looks ok.

The choice of H11 for the fogs is limited so go with either of the two companies mentioned in this post.

Well, I hate to mix it up here, but......

I too have the 19172 XtremeWhite's. First, I don't think you could go wrong with either the 172's or the 169's. Having said that, PIAA themselves recommended the 172's to best match the Xenon's.

The 172 bulb is bluer than the 169 when NOT lite. This may be too blue for some just to look at. But with my Brilant Silver car, the blue tint reflection throughout the lens reflector, when not lite, looks very good. I'm sure the 169 would be simular.

When lite though, it's damn close to the Xenon light. Of course, when the PIAA XtremeWhite H7 hi-Beam is lite, the wedge park like will not be seen.

I too just installed my H11 fog lights (Metal White ordered from Lighting Research) and they too look great. I'll take some pictures soon to show all the lights one. Mark

For me the PIAA #19169 is a better match.

When not on, it does not matter they look exactly the same.

I'll take some pictures at night so you can really see the difference.

03BABY!

You are the man. Now those pics really tell the story. Nice capture by the way, shooting lights is not easy (you must be into digital in a pretty big way). Now folks can SEE the difference rather than talk about it and pick what they think is best for them. Personally I like the 169's. I put the 172's in and they were too blue (just my humble opinion but the blue's remind me of a Rice Rocket).
