2007 E320 CDI Bluetec
Smile Just Bought E320 CDI Bluetec

Hello To All ..am brand new to MBWorld, so I'll do this message in Diesel section too. Just bought 2007 Bluetec, with 54,000 miles. Car is impeccible. I have read all MBWorld chats on in-line 6 vs V-6 diesel and all that. Lots of stubborn oil heads and their opinions.

BUT, now that I have "gone and done it" .... and popped for the V-6 diesel ... does anyone have direct experience owning and operating a Bluetec? This is second car for me, intend to drive like 5,000 - 7,500 miles per yr, and keep it till I get REALLY old...I am now 67, and just became semi-retired.

Hoping to have long postive experience with Bluetec ... any advice on

how the ceramic soot filter holds up?
the VNT turbo ?
Engine, itself?
Catalytic converters and SCR's.

Advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance

Ciao

Welcome. When I bought my 06 in 2010 I drove both a 2007 and the 2006 I bought. I liked both, and the only reason I took the 06 was the lower mileage and more options. I did find the 07 slightly quieter and smoother. You will find a great amount of information here.

Awesome! You will really enjoy this car. I love mine, though I've only done a little less than 28,000 miles since new; may be putting on lots of miles soon depending on my next job location. The warranty just expired and I am looking forward to chip reprogramming to remove top speed limiter.
