Battery Protection . . . Functions not temp unavailable?
Hey guys a g/f of mind has a 2005 w211 and said she got this error today while driving and noticed the air conditioner cut off. What is this error, and what does it indicate?

Usually a problem with the charging system/battery(ies) depending on year.
The car's computer is shutting down accessiries in an effort to reduce the drain on the battery which is not getting or holding a sufficient charge.

any idea what causes this? Is it just a dying battery? Something that could be solved by calling MB roadside assistance to have them deliver and install a new batt??

You'd only be guessing if you call & have the battery replaced and its the regulator thats bad. Its got to be looked at. They have tests that will tell them right away.
Its better than getting stranded. Just noticed... her MY. She's got 2 batteries. One backs up her SBC brake system.
