P0455 and P0336 Car won't start
I got those two codes and my car would crank but won't start. It most likely would barely start after number of tries. Could any of these codes cause this? Does anyone know what causes my car NOT to start? I tried to a fuel injection cleaner and it did not help...
Thanks all
Thanks all

does it just crank and crank and crank? If so, fuel pump and or filter would be my vote. Fuel filter is cheap and you can change it yourself, but sounds like the fuel pump is going out. This would cause your engine to just crank over and over but without getting fuel it won't fire.

JCat,
my car is from California and it is a PZEV car, and no filter or fuel pump sold separately. I was told I need to buy the entire fuel trunk, which retails at around $1,600. Do you by any chance know of any other cheaper solutions? If there is anything wrong with a fuel pump or filter, would it show any codes on diagnostics? These are the only codes I got, and I also got a code for Secondary Air Injection system, which I do not think has anything to do with starting the car.

Do you have the information related to the codes? Those specifics may help in figuring it out.

The SAI system has a bunch of stuff:
(2) Shutoff valves (one for each cylinder bank)
(1) Check valve (intake manifold vacuum)
(1) Main relay (turns pump on/off as commanded by the ME-SFI engine control unit)
(1) Electric pump (powered by the front driver's side SAM module)
(1) Pump switchover valve (as commanded by the ME-SFI engine control unit)
A lot of stuff to oxidize HCs while waiting for the cat converters to lite-up!
Regards,
paul...
