Fuel Filter: Who's replaced their's? And @how many miles?
My dealer recommended mine to be changed at 110K. I passed. I'm now at 126k, and dealer's recommending again. I'm going to pass again.

its really such a cheap and usually easy item...why wouldn't you just do it? If you go down below a quarter regularly and even at around a quarter you're kicking all sorts of **** up from the gas tank, and especially after how many gallons of fuel have gone through that tank after 126k miles the filter has to have some stuff in it.
I havent done it on my E but i've done them on both my mustang and my S60R and they weren't difficult at all. either bleed the pressure yourself or let it sit for a few hours to drop the fuel pressure before doing it. Just keep a bucket near you and wear goggles lol

like i said, i don't know these cars...is there an external inline filter or is the filter they're talking about the bag on the pump inside the tank?
If it's the bag on the pump, yeah eff that. Better off waiting until the pump dies and just replace the whole thing.
But, if it's an inline filter external to the tank, it's probably a freakin $10 part and takes all of half an hour to do.

the filter is part of the pump. It is under the back seat, and will be expensive to change. The place where I bought mine said just wait till it goes out. I have 99k on it and runs like new. 30+ mpg. I always always use premium Shell V-Power 99% and if not available BP 93 Octane. I rarely let it get below half full either. I hope to not need a fuel filter for another 50k or more.
