The Date?
Hey I was wondering since i'm getting really antsy waiting for my 2004 E500 if anyone could tell me when the 04' models are being released or shipped out to the US. If anyone has any comments or thoughts please share as i'm really excited and i cant take the wait anymore. By the way i think they (dealer) told me that it would be around Aug. when it would come in. is this right? I cant take the wait anymore....

Let's see, you have June, July, August and probably September to wait, and you can't wait anymore? Blinding Flash of the Obvious...you are not there yet!!! If last year is any guide, expect very late August or probably mid-September (the 211 arrived in the USA in mid-September). Delivery dates appear to vary with your geographic location. "Come in" could mean the port, the preparation or the dealership where each step involves some amount of time. Once the shipping date is determined, most dealers can tell you what week to expect to put your butt in the seat.

damn
That sucks that i'm gonna have to wait that long to get my car. oh well good things come to those who wait. Well I will be checking out all your cars in the mean time.

I don't think 2004s will end up being built in the 2nd decade of July since 2003 rebuilds are still being done through the end of July. I doubt they will be building 2003 and 2004s at the same time.

i talked to my salesperson
He said that it would be in by Aug. Thank God!!!! you guys are killing me. lol . well i will let you know if those damn Germans get my car done a little faster. lol.

Suggestion, ask the saleman to take 25% off the cost of the car if it does not arrive by 31AUG or you will not take delivery. Let us know the reaction.
