Need Help~! Installing front spring
I can't compress the spring so that I can get it into place? I have a new arnott spring. The old one compresses easily. I've been wrestling with this all day... I had to cut off the nut on the lower spring mount as it was frozen on. I used PB Blaster, and a 3 foot long 1/2 breaker bar that was bending..... this has not been a fun day.
Is there a trick? Hook up the electronics? I don't want to do anything to damage the spring...

I figured it out..
Posting the answer just in case anyone else has the same problem.
I had to riase the opposite side of the car and lower the side that I was working on.
I'm guessing it released the tension on the sway bar.

Sorry I caught this too late, but anyways if you would of gone to the w211 AMG subforum there is a wealth of info on that job, just do a search. Not sure why no one here post their DIY jobs here much.
