Engine Knock

Whenever I hit the pedal to the metal and let go of the gas, when car down shifts, it knocks. Is this tranny going bad yet again or might be engine mounts?

best way to find out is pop the hood hop in the car put in d then hit the gas while holding the brake, if its a bad mount the motor can move up or down, also try this in reverse

BINGO!!! I have the E550 and every time i hit the gas pedal fast and I would hear multiple pings. Sounded like Engine knock. The car started running rough and could feel the vibration through the chassis. I thought I hurt the motor. Took it to dealership and good and god I still have warrant. They had to replace 2 motor mounts and all my problems went away.

you should check it out when you come over next time haha

It doesn't soo much knock when I raise the car.....I think I need to raise the car...kind of low
