Turning fog lights on with headlights off.
I love the look on my M3 when I have the Fogs on without the headlights. I am curious if anyone has accomplished this on their w211. I have searched and found nothing on the subject. Thanks in advance.

On my 08 E350, I simply pull the light switch out when the switch is in the parking light position. This turns on the fog lights with the headlights being off. If I pull the switch out one more stop, the rear fog light turns on.

The only way to do this is to only have the driving lights (center 2) on. As far as I know you cannot JUST have the fogs on without something else being on.

what i don’t like is that there is no dash light indicator for when the parking lights are manually turned on,

The parking lights have to be on to activate the front fog lights. The headlights have to be on to activate the rear fog light. Neither front nor rear fog lights are there to make your car look cool.

Correct! I was just wondering if anyone has found a work around for this horrible design. Not trying to be cool, I’m cool enough without fog lights. From a functionality point it would be nice to have the DRIVING lights come on automatically with headlamps.

they aren't "driving" lights, as the focus is low and wide. they are fog lights. you turn them on when it's foggy.
