2008 E350 4matic Highway RPM's
Hello all-
I'm getting some vibration in the steering wheel as I increase from 65mph to 75mph. RPM's at 75mph are around 2,600. I'm just trying to figure out if it's wheel/tire related or engine/transmission related. Let me know if 2,600 RPM's at 75mph is normal. It seems a bit high to me after comparing with a few other non-MB cars.
Thanks!

It is most likely a wheel/tire issue. I had one develop recently, when going through 40, up to about 50. A rebalance solved it.
Cruising at 2,600 RPM is about correct, when in the 75-80 range, IIRC.

Just bump it into 4th. That'll change the RPM. Then slow down back to 2600 rpm at the slower speed. This will distinguish the two.
One cheap thing to check is wheel balance due to a weight falling off.
