Removing 2003 e320 factory radio

Hello All,
I have a 2003 e320 that I am replacing the US comand version cd/cassette radio with cd changer, to the Euro comand dvd radio, but, I do not know how to remove the 2 clips that hold the wires in place on the bottom of the changer. I believe one wire is the fiber optic cable (orange cable), and the other 2 wires must be power and data. I was able to remove the fiber optic cable, but I cannot figure out how to remove the clips on the others. Thanks for any help you can give me on this. I would like to put in this headunit as I have already installed the nav processor and am anxious to get it all up and running.

Pull the two plugs toward you. They should simply unclip from the "sockets" that are clipped into the underside of the changer housing.

Thanks for the reply murman. Are you sure about pulling on the plugs? Have you done this before? I gave them a good tug and they didn't come loose. I didn't want to pull to hard because I don't want to break anything, but it looks like it wants to come loose.

They're snug, but should come out no problem. Done it over a dozen times, retrofitting CD changers.

Ok murman, I'll trust what you are saying. I've never done this before and taking apart my benz is frightening. Plus I'm kinda nervous about tugging on the wires real hard. The fiber optic was easy, but the other two are a p.i.t.a. to get out. I don't want to have to take the car to the dealer to fix my screw ups, but I will give it a shot.

Last suggestion is to hold/brace the wires behind the socket. Plug should come out easier that way.
