Should it be easy to move fob from ON to ACC?
I just recently purchased my first MB - an off-lease 2009 E350 - and really am enjoying the upgrade from my 2004 Saab 9-3.
I seem to be running into some difficulty where I have been able to bump my key fob in the ignition (via a leather key ring) with my knee and switch the car off!

Fortunately, this has only happened while in line to drop off my daughter at pre-school on the way into work, but it does create a bit of a safety issue if I was on the highway and the car shut itself down because I shifted my leg off the gas pedal and bumped the key out of position.
Pushing farther back in the seat to not have to bend my leg puts me too far from the wheel to drive comfortably, so that not a good option.
I'm looking for your opinion on how much pressure does it take to move the key from the on position into the accessory position. If there is a problem with the ignition switch/key fob recepticle, then I can talk to the dealer about it. I can always take the fob off the key ring, but I'd rather keep my house key and discount tags all together.
Thanks!
Ron
Consider talking to your dealer about trading your car for one with Keyless Go.
I am past my 7 day/500 mile trade-in period on the CPO, so I will have to deal with it. Good bye key chain!
Just for grins, is it even possible to retrofit keyless go into the car?*
* please note I said for grins!
