How do you park on a steep hill?

Has anyone figured out how to parallel park on a steep hill? I can not pick up the throttle while I'm still have my foot on the brake. Is it just our car or do you all have the same problem?

you ought to try that with a stick

parking with auto tranny should be simple . one foot on gas one brake,, that way with normal auto, you should try it with Manual Tranny, now that's a challenge

To avoid that my car reverses in very steep gradients, I switch the W (winter) program of the gearbow.

When I have to start again I comeback in the S (standard) mode.

The W mode makes the car strat in second gear and cluches a second reverse gear. So your torque converter may suffer more.

I agree with FJPM
To avoid car reverses in very steep gradients, switch the W (winter) program of the gearbow.
There will be no problem that car reverses in steep hill, if your car with SBC HOLD, however most of our car do not have this function, therefore, switch to "W" mode to avoid reverseing in steep hill might be the only way.

I have noticed that while the throttle is initially cancelled by braking in two foot maneuvers, if you maintain some accelerator pressure then the rpms will gradually increase while still on the brake.
