Of course anything is possible with enough money, but has anybody updated their w211 mirrors to w212 mirrors?

The mirrors for the w211 look a little too feminine in my opinion...

I think this may be my next mod.

 

Anyone have this on their car? Looks sweet! Looking into purchasing one as well. Hopefully fitment is spot on.

 

IMO the 07+ 211 mirrors look the best and is a great upgrade for 03-06 vehicles.

 

But is modifications needed ?

Agreed - the 07-09 style look the best on the W211 cars. I understand from searching around on here that there is some drilling to make the side mirror swap happen between a 04-06 to the 07-09 style.

Gotta stop reading the forum.. end up spending $$$.. will maybe add the brabus style puddle lights as well, who knows..

 

I have the same problem with the forum - too many cool ideas.
What shop did you use for the puddle light wiring?

Any shop can do it, I used Audiolab in Irvine by Best Buy, he quoted me high, but I made him an offer to do early in the morning so he accepted and they did the whole thing in an hour. The doors have to come off.

I think I will save up for the formymercedes.com lighted sills and the full undercar puddles to do at the same time.. since they will wire to the same door lights. It would look pretty sweet with all that at night and interior LED's.

So has anyone actually done this? Or has an adaptor kit been released by someone?
It's not so much the looks, and the w212 do look much better, but its the also the better and stronger design. The w211 designs have a terrible gearbox that is just made to fail.
