Some phones work with no problem, some don't. My HTC Thunderbolt works fine with it. Perhaps a setting on the Bluetooth for the EVO or it's just one of the ones that doesn't work well with it.

I too would like to know this answer...I keep hearing that the newest Puck, is the same as that last Gen, except that it is smaller...but it seems like the last one (2nd Gen) may work differently??

I love how well the OEM phone works in my 06 E55...I just hate that there are SO MANY. Complaints with the phonebook and Android

This is just

Well this pissed me off so much that I dumped my HTC EVO3D/Sprint...and went with ATT, and Samsung Note (big friggin phone...but cool imho)...IT WORKS PERFECTLY!

So it's either a HCT issue, (or sprint issue)...but my guess is HTC.

I figured that since all iphones worked...that maybe it was an ATT thing...either way...I have all my contacts (500) in my car...FINALLY!

Which puck do you have... the black and silver long one (looks like the hood of an SLR), or the all black smaller (newest) one?

I have the Evo4G, Android 2.3.5 and the newest all-black puck and I've tried everything (including Bluetooth file transfer, with same erro) and no luck. The two people on this board who claim to have synced their contacts haven't replied to follow-up posts.

My next move is to try the Viseo MB-4 puck which they claim will work... we'll see...

Please keep us posted. I'm in the same boat. I love my EVO so I'll go without in car contacts before I give up my phone.

Several people say there's a Receive Business Card option in the COMAND's TEL screen. I don't have this. Is this a function of COMAND or dependent on the version of puck you use? (I have the, apparently, original B6 787 5839).

Oh, this is all in my 2008 CLS 550 (just picked it up this weekend).

Bumping an old thread for help.

I need a new phone to work with my 07 E350.
I have the black and silver puck.
I don't care if it is automatic or if I have to do a manual download.

I have tried the Medieval Software Bluetooth transfer program with my Vz Droid 2 as a test and have not been successful.

Any help would be appreciated.

This is a hardware issue with the device (phones), OS (Android) and what bluetooth software the phone uses. It happens with certain models of HTC and Motorola Android phones. I've experienced it with the Atrix 4G.

Nothing to with the carrier (Sprint vs AT&T vs VZW).

As far as I know there is no solution other using a different device. iPhones seem to work as expected, not sure about others. Non smart phone may work fine also.

The problem is the VZ store does not have active phones to play with.

I keep borrowing phones from friends to try to find a model that works.

Not the Droid 2, not the Samsung Nexus.

Someone post a model they have made work, and how. PLEASE > > > >

Played with a friend's Moto Droid Razr, and it worked.

Just a few extra steps saying yes a few times to the phone book

Seems that maybe ICS fixes some of the Android problems.

Dot here a Droid 4 (based on the fact t it is the "same" as the RAZR),
Well at first it did not work, but then did the ICS update and now it works.
