My wife's 2006 E350 has a schizo CEL. The code is a P0015 and comes and goes. But can't get much good advice how to attack this. The sometime used non-dealer mechanic scared my wife with some balance shaft warning. She says the only symptom is the car stops accelerating and has to be restarted. (on my clk 430 this was the throttle position sensor).

Is this some simple magnet replacement or sensor replacement or is this something else?
