Keyless Go Start/Stop Button Not Rebounding

I’m having trouble with the start/stop button on the gear shift not bouncing back up. I can still start/stop the car using it, but it’s a very “sticky” feel. There’s very little movement in it and I can’t see it move up much after it has been pressed. So far I’ve tried cleaning around it as much as I can with rubbing alcohol, but that didn’t help much. For past two days I’ve tried spraying WD40 around there, but that too is not helping much.

Anyone else have problems with this? If so, pls share any fixes you may know of. Thanks in advance.
