iPhone integration like the new 2012 models?
Hey! After doing some searching I haven't been able to find my answer.
I currently own a 2005 E320 and was wondering if there was any way to get my iPhone 4S linked with my navigation unit for both phone/texting use as well as my iPod use.
I love the new Mercedes-Benz lineup because they have built-in iPod connectors in either the glove box or arm rest where you just plug in your iPod/iPhone and it immediately syncs up with is and you can even control your music via the nav buttons.
I have read that if you have the split arm rest in your w211 then it is most likely setup for a phone integration. I see no imports, just two buttons. One is a "wrench", and the other is an "i" both light up, and both do absolutely nothing (to my knowledge)
Is there any way to get something installed in my poor ole' car to somewhat match the new Mercedes iPod/iPhone integration systems?
Thanks for the info, and I know you'll be helping a lot more people than just me with the answers to this topic!!!

The puck and tail will not give him everything he is looking for (only phone calls) - however the iTronic BT will do everything you asked for and more: bluetooth phone calls, iPod/iphone control for music, bluetooth music streaming, etc etc.

Sorry to revive this old thread, but this looks like the most recent one about w211 iPhone integration I can find. Cartronics, who made the itronics BT seems to be defunct. The other alternatives I've found are mObridge and Dension. Are there any I'm overlooking? Has anyone used either of these products?
