new correct glow plugs solved the problem, what a difference it made. Thanks again for all the input It does make a difference. Glad to hear you problem is resolved.

Same issue. I had supplied the wrong(Bosch) plugs to the MB dealer to install in my 05 CDI. Worked ok in the summer, but in the cold weather I noticed big problems. Thanks for the info. Had them changed to the Beru and it started on the first rotation at 8 degrees F JPM.
