quick question on code reading

W211 CDI, need to check the code throwing my cel, pretty sure it is for a bad glow plug. Question:

-where is the jack/plug for the reader located and will whatever machine they have at AutoZone etc work?

And

-will the code tell me which cylinder/glow plug is bad?

TIA!

Diagnostic plug

The diagnostic plug is located beside of your hood release under the dash on driver's side. The code reader at the auto parts store will tell you which cylinder has the faulty plug. Make sure you get the correct voltage plug (5V).
