Moleskin for newbie w211 owner
I have seen many debates over whether to get moleskin or not. The tint shop I want to go to has never heard of something like that and they are pretty reputable in my area. I have some streaking on the original tint but wasn't sure if that's due to not having moleskin, it's stock tint. Can I verify with some w211 owners if we do need moleskin? What kind of tint should I request? Thanks guys in advance.

Reviving this old thread!
From my reading on the forums on this topic I have deduced there is a high possibility that the later model w211's will have the felt/moleskin on the weather strip, but the only true way to tell is to take a look by popping the door trim or wedging it open so you can see.
If anyone could provide more info on this topic it would be greatly appreciated

I got 3M tint instead of moleskin. No scratches so far. My older ML had cheap tint and no moleskin...no issues with that either.
It's not hard to install if you would like it done - simple DIY
