Disconnected compressor?

Disconnected compressor?
My air conditioning stopped working and I took it into a place that specializes in Mercedes servicing (not a dealership though)
They said that my compressor wasn't requesting the freon and that's why it wasn't getting cold.
I looked under my car tonight and saw this silicone black tube wasn't connected to anything. It is connected to my compressor, but shouldn't it also be connected to the condenser or something of that nature?
Where should it be connected to?

It may goes to coolant overflow reservoir, or power steering pump reservoir, it does not look like AC system hose (w/metal connector at end).
