Fat Fives or sweet 16's? Which are lighter?
Hi everyone, I have a question perhaps someone can help me with. Right now my E320 is riding on the OEM 16's but I am interested in upgrading to the 5-spoke sport "FAT FIVE" 17" wheels. Now I hear these wheels are pretty light but does anyone know if they are lighter than the OEM 16's?
I had 18" chrome rims on the car and these were heavy as hell, I think 32lbs each! Huge performance drag on acceleration and braking! Not to mention extra wear on the suspension components.
I like the ride comfort of the 16's at 225/55/16 but I loved the handling of the 245 tire.
Are the fat five's lighter?
